Are resumes accepted in lieu of an application?

A completed WESA application is required for each job opening.  A resume may be attached to the application if desired.

Do you accept applications when there are no job openings?

No.  WESA only accepts applications for current job openings.

Does the District have a job line?

.  The telephone number is (951) 674-3146.  For information on current job openings, dial extension 8851.  For updated information on openings that have closed, but are not yet filled, dial extension 8852.

How do I find out about EVMWD job openings?

Job openings are advertised on the EVMWD Web Site and on the EVMWD Job Line (951) 674-3146 ext. 8851.

How do I submit an application?

WESA utilizes an online application system.  From the job opportunities section of the WESA website, click on the job title you are interested in and click www.governmentjobs.com/evmwd  If this is the first time you are applying using the online job application, you will need to create a new account.  After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking the “Build an Application” link.  Applications can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.

How long do you keep applications on file?

Applications are kept for one year after a job closes and the position is filled

How long does the hiring process take?

EVMWD is committed to hiring quality applicants for all of its open positions. The application, screening, interviewing and background investigation process can take 6-8 weeks. Your patience is appreciated.

How often are job openings advertised?

Job openings are advertised as positions become available.  There is no set time for advertising job openings.

Is a separate application required for each position?

Each positions requires a separate WESA employment application.

Should I attach copies of applicable certifications and a current DMV printout to my application?

The WESA application requests that copies of job-related certifications be attached to the online application.  Please do not submit documents verifying your legal right to work in the United States, or DMV printouts with your application materials.

What are your business hours?

WESA office hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays.

Where can I obtain a job application?

WESA utilizes an online application system.  This on-line system tracks employment interest and job applications exclusively for WESA through www.governmentjobs.com/evmwd  To submit your application for a WESA job opening, refer to the job opportunities section of the WESA website.

Will I be notified regarding the status of my application?
