California's Drought: Important Information About Water Use
News Image California is experiencing one of the most severe droughts on record, with the entire state facing severe drought conditions. In July, the State Water Resources Board called upon water agencies across California to take mandatory actions locally to conserve water.

As Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District implements Stage II of its Water Shortage Contingency Plan for emergency drought conditions, EVMWD is asking customers to help protect our future water supply by taking measures to reduce their water use.

News Image Learn the latest trends to reduce water use outdoors. Outdoor water use in the EVMWD service area accounts for nearly 70% of an average customers water bill. This insightful workshop covers the basics of irrigation systems, watering and fertilizing, landscape design and plant identification.

Teachers: 'Just Add Water' to Your Lessons This Year!
News Image Ever wonder where the water goes as it swirls down the drain? How about where clouds come from? Or why snowflakes have 6 sides?

With EVMWD's "Just Add Water" program, you can have an interactive, hands on and fun learning experience that meets Common Core Standards / Next Generation Science Standards and can be brought right to your classroom. Teachers can take advantage of free presentations, field trips, teaching resources and materials made available by EVMWD.

Turf Replacement Program offers incentive to EVMWD Customers
News Image EVMWD, in partnership with Western Municipal Water District, is offering a residential turf replacement program to help customers offset the costs associated with converting turfgrass to a climate-appropriate landscape.

The rebate incentive is $2 per square foot. Please visit www.westernturfreplacement.com for an application and guidelines. Act fast- funds are limited in this program.

Wildomar Area Sewer and Lift Station Improvement Project to Begin
News Image EVMWD is scheduled to begin construction in early May through late fall on a sewer improvement project to install approximately 2,500 feet of new sewer pipeline and upgrade two lift stations. The construction work will occur along Mission Trail, a major thoroughfare between the cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar. (Click here for map.) Once complete, the project will increase capacity and improve the efficiency of our sewer system.
