EVMWD's Web site has a new look! Behind the “cyber savvy” new homepage is an innovative way of using e-government (electronic government), which delivers more and even better services to residents, businesses, and surrounding agencies.
For several years, EVMWD has maintained a Web site with services such as news and information, now evmwd.com is much more. A new and improved search engine makes it easier to find what you need, an expanded Board of Directors section and an easy-to-read calendar lets you know all that is happening at EVMWD.
What is e-government? It is a way for residents to get faster service, and more thorough local information 24 hours a day.
Even if you’re not one of the many households in the EVMWD service area with Internet access, there are many benefits to this latest e-government strategy. These benefits include reduced in-person customer wait times during peak periods, lower District transaction costs, and more open phone lines.
If you are a wired household, www.evmwd.com promises convenience and timesaving access to paying your bill online, service requests, Board agendas, documents and reports.
It also means faster solutions for residents seeking answers to frequently asked questions, better communication and up to the minute news and information through eNotify and other “new media” using Internet technologies.
Information, communication and transactions
“E-government’s primary objective is to put residents, buisinesses, and surrounding agencies in charge of their relationship with the District,” EVMWD's new website features already considered “big hits” by Internet users – job postings, meeting information, District history, and conservation issues – have been recreated on the new site, but made easier to find and use.
Starting early 2005, access your account information and pay your bill online!
A new automated web system that allows EVMWD customers access to their account 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Just right to fit your busy life!
Customers will be able to make payments using their credit or check card, or using their bank checking or savings account information…all without additional fees. They can also access account information such as a 12 month billing and payment history; view electronic versions of their current and past bills; graphically compare water usage, by month, for the past 3 years; and confirm and update contact information and their mailing address.
All that is needed to access the system is the 6-digit EVMWD account number and a 4-digit PIN. The PIN has initially been set to default as the last 4-digits of the primary driver’s license number found on the account. The PIN can be changed once the customer has accessed the account.
