Rebates

The Rebate Program is on hold!

As of July 1, 2009 there are no rebates available through Metropolitan's SoCal Water$mart program. It is not known when the program will start again and what rebates might be available.  If the program does continue it will be on a reservation only basis so you will need to get a reservation BEFORE you purchase a product.

There will be no commercial rebates available until at least July 2010.

Starting July 13, 2009 EVMWD will continue to provide:

  • MP Rotator Sprinkler Heads at $1 each
  • Low-flow showerheads for free

For questions, please call Conservation Specialist Rob Whipple at 951-674-3146 x8247

Reduce Your Use! Change Your Sprinklers to MP Rotators!

EVMWD has a CHEAP way to reduce your outdoor water use by up to 20%!

All you have to do is convert your pop-up spray heads to MP Rotators and EVMWD will give you the sprinkler heads at cost—currently $1 per head!

Just call Conservation Specialist Rob Whipple at 951-674-3146 x8247 to sign up for this program.

You will need to:

1) Count your existing pop-up spray heads and identify how many 90s, 180s, and 360s you will need. Also, please note if you need Toro heads instead of Rainbird.

2) Call for an appointment to pick up your heads at the District Office

3) Install the heads promptly

EVMWD will verify installation of the sprinkler heads and then charge your bill at $1 per head.

Why Try MP Rotator Sprinkler Heads?

  • They are more efficient than pop-up spray heads
  • They do not mist or fog
  • They hold up better in the wind
  • They reduce runoff because they put down water at a slower rate
  • They are great on slopes
  • They water better in front of the sprinkler head
  • They are adjustable from 45° to 360° and retrofit most brands of sprinklers
  • Tests have shown 20%-40% savings over pop-up spray heads
  • The changeout is easy, just unscrew the old ones and put on the new ones
  • They work well at low pressures

Low-Flow Showerheads (2 gallons per minute)

EVMWD offers free low-flow showerheads at customer request. These are Earth Massage Showerheads made by Niagara and flow at 2 gallons per minute. They have a massage setting and a spray setting. New showerheads have a flow of at least 2.5 gallons per minute so even if you are changing out fairly new heads you can still save water.

Example for a 10 minute shower:

2.5 gpm at 10 minutes = 25 gallons

2.0 gpm at 10 minutes = 20 gallons (a 5 gallon savings!)

Showerheads can be picked up at the EVMWD District Office at 31315 Chaney St. Lake Elsinore.
