LAKE ELSINORE, CA – Community members interested in making a blood donation will have the opportunity to do so at the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District next week.
The EVMWD blood drive is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, at district headquarters located at 31315 Chaney Street in Lake Elsinore.
Lifestream officials say that blood is needed daily for people being treated for a range of serious ailments including cancer, sickle cell, anemia, severe burns, traumatic injuries and those undergoing surgeries.
EVMWD partners with Lifestream blood bank to host several drives a year and donors must be at least 15 years old (with parent/guardian consent if they are 15 or 16 years old). Donors must also weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, be free of high-risk behavior/infectious disease. Participants are also required to bring a photo ID.
